Seat
The vinyl seat had some paint marks on it. I don't
know what sort of paint or when it happened. Google
suggested the solution could be to use anti-bacterial hand
gel as it contains alcohol. It didn't work.
However white spirit shifted it and did not harm the vinyl.
NOTE:- I started this article after I
had started the restoration hence the lack of
pictures up to now. Pictures should be
available for the rest of this article

The seat base is very rusty. To use electrolysis or
vinegar I'll have to remove the viinyl and the foam
rubber. Can I put them back? I once got a seat
for a Norton wideline featherbed frame professionally done
by an upholsterer. It was very good. Maybe I'll check
that out.
I can get a new
cover from Motobins for £23.40
